A memoir in verse exploring the journey of healing from trauma. Karen’s poems plunge into the beauty of the natural world while fearlessly confronting human suffering, courage, and resilience.

📚 About the Author: Karen Carter is a poet, writer, and educator. With a B.A., M.Div., and Ph.D., she has taught at all levels of learning and currently teaches high school English and Creative Writing.
Many poems in her debut collection, Deep Dive (Querencia Press, 2024), have previously appeared in anthologies and literary journals.
She lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she continues to inspire through her words and work.
